Trivia quiz...HECK YEAH!
Back from hiatus and brought to you by ExxonMobil oil, it's the trivia quiz!
Sadie leaves Topeka, KS heading south (or "down", depending on how you're holding your map) on I-335 and continuing on I-35: The Kansas Turnpike. In Wichita, she'll get off on US 400 heading west. Sadie's Toyota Corolla has seen better days, but thanks to a recent tune-up, it gets about 30 miles per gallon. Since she fills up her tank after using exactly 10 gallons (don't even ask about her OCD -- she's getting it under control!), in what city will she first stop for gas? AND, what distinction does this city hold? You may also speculate as to how many Vivarin Sadie will pop to stay awake on this boring trip across Kansas!
Good luck! Perhaps I'll post hints in the comments section if people request them.

ribbity rob,
I believe that you are thinking sadie would stop in dodge city (or dodge for those ks folks out there, can i get a wha-wha?). what is dodge famous for? well, for starters, all those good cowboy lawmen of yore lived there, at least for a time:
wyatt
earp, bat masterson, and doc holliday to name a few.
and dodge is also the birthplace of dennis hopper.
maybe because you're now in the windy city, you've heard the fun fact that dodge city is in fact (according to the nat'l weather service) the windiest city in the us.

ps. i was kind of hoping sadie would stop for gas in greensburg, ks, home of the largest hand-dug well!
Indeed it's Dodge City, the windiest city in the US. So quit complaining, Chicago :)
Sadie wouldn't be far from that hand-dug well though, perhaps she'll take a gander at it on her way by!
