Trivia, you say? So, on this day in 1976, Steve Jobs had just sold his Volkswagen. His other buddy Steve sold his programmable calculator. What did the two do with the $1350 they got from these sales?

I think that ice cream would make me suffer. So, why the capitol 'S' with a line through it? Why not a 'D' for dollar?
And my guess is that it takes a VW and a fancy calculator to make Apple.
I'm assuming it's something computer/Macintosh related. I'm more curious to know what the split of the $1350 was between the car and the calculator! Maybe it was an original model TI-1.

I'll go out on a limb and say they used it as a down payment on the rent on their first office space...
And if it is Holy Humor month, does that also make it the month of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch?
They used the money to create a circuit board for the first Apple Computer! I wonder what they had to sell to get the money to develop the game "Lemonade." Anybody else play that game?

Laine, that was my first thought to, actually! I'm thinking the calculator may have been worth more. Ha, I like the idea of the TI-1, although I'm pretty sure kids today are still using the same TI-83 I used in high school. Their development cycle seems pretty slow!
Kim, legend has it they built it in Steve Jobs' garage, but who knows if that's true...and thanks so much for putting the Book of Armaments quotes from Monty Python in my head :)
