That's a good question. How about Tim Conway, to throw out a random guess? If I remember correctly, it's Alec Baldwin and Sean Connery who have hosted the most, but I don't think they were that popular back in 1975.

It was actually George Carlin! NBC was very concerned that he'd use some "colorful language" on the new live show.
I'm still trying to figure out how Dr. Pepper and baked beans are related! Does this have something to do with those weird Boston baked beans candies?
