Jody beat me to it! For some reason, it's always stuck in my mind that Magic said he had "attained" the HIV virus, which is not only redundant but also makes it sound like it's some sort of accomplishment.
Of course, that is Magic Johnson. I think the thing I always remembered about this was that it then became an actual rule that if a player was bleeding, game play had to stop and a substitute player had to be brought in, which trickled its way all the way down to my middle school basketball team. I always thought that was one of those things that didn't need an actual rule, but perhaps I was just a sixth grade crybaby who wanted to stop playing if anyone drew blood... ;)
Also, how cool is the name "Mayor Khan the Warlord"?
