I love vibrate mode. It's a wonderful thing. I'd vote for the Scandanavians too.
Ah, Nokia's a good guess, and had the question been "what was my first mobile phone which was the best one I think I've ever had" that would be the answer.
The first phone to use the vibrate function was the Motorola StarTAC. That crafty Motorola!!
