Remember, only you can prevent TRIVIA QUIZzes!

The National Hobo Convention begins today in Britt, Iowa.

Today is National Rice Pudding Day. Whether you choose black rice or white rice is up to you, I'd imagine.

On this day in 1790, the Columbia returned to Boston Harbor after a three-year voyage, becoming the first ship to carry the American flag around the world.

On this day in 1944, the U.S. Forest Service and the Wartime Advertising Council created the character Smokey the Bear to plead for Americans to prevent forest fires.

Back to the Presidential trivia: who was the first non-elected President of the United States?

Good luck :)

Hmmm, sheesh I should know this too. Might be Washington. Harrison was the first president to die in office, I think, so it might be the prez after him -- Tyler?

Both good guesses! I would have gone with Washington, but it turns out it's Gerald Ford. I guess that's because he took over after Nixon resigned.
