It's one, two, three TRIVIA QUIZzes you're out....

This trivia quiz is brought to you by the Little League Baseball Organization!

There are seven ways a baseball player can legally reach first base without getting a hit. Taking a base on balls-a walk-is one way. Name the other six.

Bonus points if you can name the location of the Little League Museum and the small town about an hour from there where my parents have a vacation home. Good luck!

OK - I know this one! Great question, R-Dogg. Perfect timing, with the season coming down to the last 10 days. Did I hear someone say "Go Red Sox"?

1. Base on balls
2. Hit batter
3. Strikeout, dropped third strike (wild pitch)
4. Strikeout, dropped third strike (passed ball)
5. Catcher's interference
6. Fielder's choice
7. Error

It's possible 3 and 4 are being counted as 1, in which case I need to think about this a little more.

And the town, of course, is Williamsport, PA! I went to the LLWS in 1993 and saw the single greatest athletic performance I've ever witnessed in person. A stocky 12-year-old kid named Sean Burroughs (now the 3rd baseman for the San Diego Padres) hit 3 home runs and a double, and as a pitcher, struck out about 14 in a 6 inning game. And oh, yeah, pitched a no-hitter!

Good answer, anonymous! There's actually yet another response, however. Any other guesses out there?

The only one missing from the above list is a pinch runner! Good one, eh?
