Dude, you got a light for my TRIVIA QUIZ?!?!?

Today is National Speak In Complete Sentences Day. Um, shouldn't that be every day?

Today is also World No-Tobacco Day, a day to discourage people from using tobacco and to encourage governments to do something, sponsored by the American Association for World Health.

On this day in 1990, "The Seinfeld Chronicles" premiered as a summer series on NBC starring Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Michael Richards, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The pilot had aired in the previous July. Renamed just plain "Seinfeld," the show lasted nine years.

On this day in 2000, "Survivor" debuted on CBS. Mini-trivia: who was the winner of that first season?

Oh, all right...here's a real trivia question: in the original French, what does the word "barbecue" mean?

Good luck :)

The winner of the first season of survivor was Richard Hatch, who then went on to go to jail for not declaring the money he won ON NATIONAL TELEVISION on his taxes :)

And i'm going to guess that barbecue means... "to slather in sauce"??

You know, I've never watched Survivor all that much, but I still remember that "snakes and rats" speech by...what was her name? Susan?

And barbecue clearly means: "to guess when the meat's done, because really there's no good way to tell." Of course, if there's a Friday morning blog post, it means Rob survived my burgers...

Richard Hatch was the o-riginal Survivor, but Susan was the author of the infamous "snakes and rats" speech!

As for barbeque, it means "from head to tail", I'm guessing because you're supposed to cook the whole animal.
