It's one, two, three TRIVIA QUIZzes you're out....

This trivia quiz is brought to you by the Little League Baseball Organization!

There are seven ways a baseball player can legally reach first base without getting a hit. Taking a base on balls-a walk-is one way. Name the other six.

Bonus points if you can name the location of the Little League Museum and the small town about an hour from there where my parents have a vacation home. Good luck!

It's all relative!

Memo to: ATA Airlines
From: me
RE: Communication

Did you know that it is not funny to make a "final boarding announcement" for a flight when it is a full 30 minutes before its scheduled departure time? I only point this out because I did not appreciate tearing down a concourse at full speed barefoot (by the way, "barefoot" is not the best way to traverse a moving walkway). Upon arriving at Gate A2784.2, the gate agent says "oh you didn't have to run, honey, you have plenty of time." Hm, isn't that interesting? While I applaud your commitment to offering timely service, let's be honest with the customers, shall we? Thanks!

Here I am, come and take....a TRIVIA QUIZ!

When I was younger, I was obsessed with the song "Here I am, come and take me." I used to listen to it over and over again so loud on my headphones that my sister would go nuts! So, today's trivia quiz is brought to you by the Educational Audiology Association.

Where did the British reggae band UB40 get its name?

Bonus points if you can name the band member (out of the 10) who shares his name with a cartoon dog from the future. Good luck!

The Trivia Quiz Shall Rise Again!

OK, folks....so I've been slacking off lately, but this ole blog has received new life, thanks to a very kind infusion of trivia questions that should hold me for the next 5087 days. Credit goes to Mr. "JD", so if you don't like the questions, please blame him :)

Let's get started with one of the easier ones...this is question 2004:
What was the name of the first child born of English parents in the New World?

Bonus points if you can give the former president after whom I'd like to name my first child. Good luck!

I went to the woods because I wished to...take a TRIVIA QUIZ!

Today's trivia quiz is brought to you by the state of California...not only because I'm currently visiting but because it celebrated its 150 year anniversary not too long ago!

Most of us know that Henry David Thoreau wrote his work "Walden" while essentially on an extended camping trip in New England (who would ever want to do that??). If you haven't read it, I recommend it! As some of you further know, one of my favorite quotes comes from this work. Anyway, Thoreau's work is 150 years old this year. Now, a 100th birthday is referred to as a centennial, so what is the term for a 150th birthday?

Bonus points if you can name my favorite quote from this work! Good luck!

How Fruity!

This article's pretty funny....Is it candy or is it porn?

Is it a puzzle? Is it a TRIVIA QUIZ???

Today's puzzle is brought to you by my mother. She used to call me "Mommy's little savant" because I used to memorize everybody's license plates. Was that a term of endearment or some sort of concern that I might have some condition? I maintain that it all started from my days in the 5th grade safety patrol when I used to look at the license plates of the cars as they went by. Here are some highlights:

My NC Plates (when you total a car, you have to return the plate):
BNK-7192
BWM-3399
KXY-9798
MSL-2408
MNR-7289
PZN-6069

Other people's plates:
Jenny's old plate: LWT-4845
Kim's CT Plate: 905 NOL (or KOL...I'm not the savant I used to be!)
My grandmother's plate circa 1984: YJB-430
Dad's vanity plate (until they upped the rates): THECURVE (bonus points if you can explain this one!)

Anywho, here are some vanity plates...can you decipher them?
10RSAX
10SNE1
IDR
CMNG4U
CZDMMNT

Good luck!

Come on, people now...

...smile on your brother, everybody get together, try to love one another right now!

No trivia quiz today, just a warm and fuzzy blog entry urging you to remember all those people who are important in your life! Like Billy Joel said "tell her about it, let her know how much you care..." I guess that means that only applies to girls. Hmmm...

OK, gag if you will, I don't care. :)
